Rubio says he’ll win if GOP nominates him

CONCORD, N.H. -Sen. Marco Rubio told supporters Monday that if he receives the Republican presidential nomination this summer he will win the November election.

“The Democrats know this,” the Florida senator told supporters at the Barley House Restaurant and Tavern on the final day before the nation’s first 2016 presidential primaries.

“They do not want to run against me. There is a reason why they target and attack me more than any other Republican candidate,” he said.

Rubio said it was important to reverse the policies implemented by the Obama administration and that it was important to create jobs through the private sector to support young families and students with college debt.

“If we get this election wrong, I’m not sure we can turn many of these things around,” Rubio said.
