MANCHESTER, N.H. — Trevor Noah and his “political” pals took the stage Friday evening at the Radisson Hotel downtown to speak on an important part of the political process — the debate.

Several students from American University sat among credentialed members of press, campaign staff members and other guests invited by the network.

Guests included former DNC chair and Vermont Gov. Howard Dean; former RNC chair Michael Steele; Fusion’s Alicia Menendez; political analyst and DNC Vice President Donna Brazile. Moderators included comedians Jessica Williams, Hasan Minaj and Ronnie Chieung.

Chieung told students at the reception following the show that masking political rhetoric within the show’s satire makes it easier for people to say how they truly feel.
