American University’s School of Communication and School of Public Affairs are joining forces to take students to New Hampshire for the 2016 primary, the field component in a semester-long course on the presidential primaries.

The multi-disciplinary class — a mix of graduates and undergraduates in a variety of majors — will meet with campaign strategists, reporters, producers and party officials to learn about strategy, media coverage and government.

This marks the third election in which AU students, based in Manchester, N.H., and traveling around the state, have covered the nation’s first primary.
